Do You See It?

Do you see it? A world so full of beauty that the wonder of it all makes your eyes fill with tears and the same world so full of violence, poverty and oppression, that sometimes you can’t help but cry.

Do you hear it? A piece of music that touches your heart and opens your soul to sheer joy and the words of a man on the street asking can you spare some change that touches your heart but maybe not enough to open up your wallet.

Do you feel it? The excitement of all that is going on in the world and sometimes the boredom of getting up for another day of the same old routine.

Do you smell it? The warm summer breeze that carries the fragrance of roses in bloom or the odor of pollution in the air or filth in the street.

Do you taste it? The savory crunch of a favorite snack, the warm goodness of a funnel cake at the ballpark. Have you tasted true hunger?

Do you see it? A world so full of beauty that the wonder of it all makes your eyes fill with tears and the same world so full of violence, poverty and oppression, that sometimes you can’t help but cry. You see it if your eyes are open, if your mind, heart and soul are open and awake.

Wherever your life’s travels have taken you so far, I hope that you’ll walk along with us for a time. We’ll talk about all kinds of things, but especially music, film, books, art and culture. We intend to offer experiences and objects of interest to you that will be worthy of your time and useful on your journey. Over time you’ll get to know us; we await with interest our future conversations.
